Shouts to the Meadowlark, home of the The Solution Showcase & Goodness…They were featured in 5280 Magazine’s “best bars in Denver” issue…

A few months back, 5280 Magazine published the list of the best bars in Denver and included The Meadowlark in their top spots for music.  That wasn’t enough though, they published a picture of DJ Dozen from The Solution Showcase #1 along with the article to make it that much sweeter.  I agree with them, the Meadowlark has been one of the best venues I’ve worked with!  Catch The Solution Showcase once a month and Goodness on the 1st & 3rd Saturdays all Summer long at this fine, award-winning establishment. From djlowkey.com: I’ve been a fan of Pittsburgh-based Jenesis Magazine for a while now, so it was extra dope when they hit me up to be in their 3rd annual DJ issue a few months ago.  I’m in good company too, with Jasmine Solano on the cover piece and being mentioned between Terry Urban and Kevin Nottingham on the cover, plus there’s a great story on Kendrick Lamar and more goodness.  Anyways, take a look at the article on me by J.J. Sounds Supreme & DJ Low Key both nominated for “Best Hip Hop DJ” in the Westword Music Showcase…Please vote…

I’m a little late in posting this, but both of us were recently nominated for “Best Hip Hop DJ” in the 2010 Westword Music Showcase.   It’s not the first time for either of us but it’s always an honor in itself to be nominated.  With that said, vote Sounds Supreme, vote Low Key, vote for your other favorite DJ instead of us, but please just take a quick 2 minutes and vote for your favorite Denver acts over at Westword.com .  Shouts to the nominating committee and all of our supporters, here’s a little more info on the committee who nominated us (alongside Chonz, Cysko Rokwel, Vajra & K Tone) in Westword’s words:

We took greater care than ever before to ensure that we received input from an every facet of the scene. The Solution named “Best Club Night in Denver”!!! Thanks CO!!!!!

Westword released their prestigious “Best of Denver” issue yesterday and thanks to you guys, we were named “Best Club Night in Denver” (we love you Denver, no seriously, we LOVE you).  Not “Best Hip Hop Night in Denver”, which were previously awarded, but best club night period and we gotta say, it feels AMAZING.  Thanks again Denver, y’all are the best, the Solution would be nothing without the people who come out every week to rock to quality music.  The best is yet to come though, just watch.  With that said, come check us out on a Friday and we’ll celebrate.

Do you guys know my homie DJ Low Key?  He just happens to be one of the top DJs in the lovely city of Denver, Colorado and one of the central figures in keeping a budding hip-hop scene alive in his area.  You can Google him to see how many different mixtapes, events and projects he’s been involved with.  The guy hustles his ass off.   However, his pride and joy is a wildly popular party called The Solution — an event that blends a perfect mix of quality hip-hop and soul for a super appreciative crowd.  Not all of us live in Denver though.

Fear not…Low Key and his homie Sounds Supreme have thrown together this mixtape (a REAL mixtape…with actual blending) that celebrates said party and captures the vibe in a whopping 1 hour and 22 minutes.  The best part of this is that it is CHOCK FULL of exclusive joints that you will only find on this mixtape.
