The CRL CRRLL “Cheers” Video! Directed, filmed & edited by Black Sock Productions!!! It’s the first single from The Solution Tape #2 & first release on The Solution Records!!!!!!!!!

2014’s been an UNBELIEVABLE year for The Solution and we’re thrilled to be closing it out in grand fashion, teaming up with longtime friend of the party and one of our favorite artists in Denver, CRL CRRLL, to release “Cheers” aka the first official single from The Solution Tape #2 (finally!!!) and first release on The Solution Records (!!!!!!!). CRL’s been coming to the party for almost all of the 7+ years we’ve been rocking and makes great music with a unique sound, so when it came time to finally get everything together for our upcoming mixtape, The Solution Tape #2, it only made sense to reach out to him for an exclusive song to feature on the project.

Over the Summer, DJ Low Key met up with CRL CRRLL for a fateful studio visit that led to “Cheers” getting picked out of a batch of incredible music for the mixtape and next thing you know everyone in Denver was loving this song that only DJ Low Key & DJ Lazy Eyez were spinning, whether they heard it at The Solution on a Friday night, saw CRL perform it live, caught it when we DJed a brunch gig or whatever. At that point, we began to realize that “Cheers” was something extra special and decided it deserved as much of a push as we could give it. That turned into us teaming up with Black Sock Productions and Jonathan Martin to shoot a video at Goodness w/DJ Low Key & friends and The Solution, which turned into us deciding that “Cheers” was so good that it needed to get full-on single push, a physical pressing (coming in early 2015!) and so on. It’s funny how something can organically grow so fast, but it’s great to witness and be a part of. And with that said, for your listening pleasure, we’re super proud to present to you, a new celebratory anthem, right on time for New Year’s Eve and all your best moments of 2015; CRL CRRLL “Cheers”, the first single from The Solution Tape #2 (coming 2/2015) & first release on The Solution Records!!!!!!!

Friday, 10/10 -> CRL CRRLL “Cheers” video shoot at The Solution w/DJ Low Key, Lazy Eyez & special guest Sounds Supreme at The Meadowlark! Introducing ZenOne, photos by Knower Of The Ledge & more, shouts to Black Sock Productions!!!

FRIDAY, 10/10 -> We’re super excited to welcome a few friends down for an extra special Friday night of The Solution. First off, we’ll be teaming up with Black Sock Productions to shoot some footage for CRL CRRLL’s upcoming video for the INCREDIBLE song “Cheers”, which you’ve probably heard us play by now as it happens to be one of our favorite songs out and the first single from the upcoming Solution Tape #2.

On top of that, we’ll also be welcoming Solution co-founder and party rocker extraordinaire DJ Sounds Supreme back to join party residents DJ Low Key & Lazy Eyez on the turntables. It’s always a blast when Sounds comes back for a guest spot and 10/10 should be no different. Last but definitely not least, we’re excited to announce that Goodness favorite ZenOne is coming on board as a new party sponsor. As usual, Knower Of The Ledge will be in the place making you look good with his party photos (check our Instagram and Facebook for proof) and we’ll be rocking all the best in hip hop and lots more at The Meadowlark (2701 Larimer St). 21+ / 9pm / No cover until 11pm, only $5 after.

Listen to Qknox & Bigwheel’s incredible live “mixtape” at The Solution from the fundraiser on 6/14/13…Thanks for helping Q replace his stolen equipment Denver!!!

Many thanks to everyone who came out to last month’s Solution fundraiser for Denver musical mastermind Qknox.  With all of your love and support we were able to raise enough money to replace his stolen laptop & equipment (!!!!!) and had a great time in doing so.  With that said, Q and Bigwheel Electrosoul are making their ridiculously dope, mixtape style performance available online for the world to listen to as a thank you for the support.  Thanks Bigwheel!!!

Video: The Solution’s 5th Annual J Dilla Tribute at Family Affair with Tanya Morgan…

In the midst of our first Colorado tour earlier this month, we made a surprise stop at Family Affair for our 5th annual J Dilla tribute.  Our friends at Red Bull and Top Shelf Vodka blessed us with complimentary drinks, Donwill and Von Pea of Tanya Morgan came through for surprise DJ sets and a few quick verses at the end of the night and a good time was had by all in the name of James Yancey.  Family Affair threw together a little video of the night and some funny Tanya Morgan footage and we thought y’all might wanna check it.  Last but not least, special shouts to Family Affair, Brittney the Square, Red Bull, Top Shelf Vodka, Tanya Morgan & everybody who came out for a great night.

Flashback 10/17/08: Mickey Factz – Madlib: Beat Konducta Freestyles at the Solution MP3s…

In case you missed it back in October ’08, we had 2009 XXL Freshman member and the newest member of Lupe Fiasco’s All City Chess Club crew, Mickey Factz, come through the Solution for a surprise visit.  We were having a release party for Madlib’s Beat Konducta Vol 5 & 6:A Tribute To Dilla that night and winding down everything when Mickey showed up around last call and proceeded to spit some off the top freestyles while an intoxicated DJ Low Key rocked Madlib beats.  Check out Mickey’s debut album later this year and download his Solution freestyles below:
